This Honey Butter is a fantastic addition to afternoon tea or breakfast table, perfect with toasted breads, hot biscuits, warm scones and a whole array of quick bread, pound cakes and loaf cakes.
Flavouring butter is so simple to do, a breeze to store and makes a lovely prezzie when you're popping to a friends for a cuppa. I like to shape mine into a log, wrapped in greaseproof paper, much like you would cookie dough for friends at Christmas.
125g unsalted butter, softened
2 tablespoons good quality honey
Place the butter in a medium bowl and beat until soft and light. Add the honey and beat again until combined. Scrape the butter into a ramekin and cover or wrap in greaseproof paper and refrigerate until ready to use.
I love the sound of the peach and honey butter and the creamy brown sugar butter sounds seriously good. Check out the pizza butter, that could either be genius or gross and I'm not sure which, I may have to try it.
