Buttercream Bakery Grazing Sheep Cupcakes

Grazing Sheep Cupcakes

This cupcake cutie has stolen my heart.

His adorable little face is so simple yet has so much character...

I think it's the eyebrows...

The buttercream grass is a breeze to create and if you would like to give it a go all you will need is a grass/hair piping tip, (you can buy these from most cake decorating stores or websites and they are relatively inexpensive), a piping bag and some quite stiff, grass green buttercream.

Have a great weekend everyone.

I'm in full work mode today but will be having a picnic in the sunshine tomorrow.

I can't wait!

This is the cutest little cupcake I've ever seen! Is the sheep made of fondant? And are the little balls that make up his fur some kind of sugar, or little dabs of buttercream, or . . .? I think you are right about the eyebrows--they make the sheep's expression really charming. Adorable!

Thanks Jane!

He is entirely made out of sugarpaste, his 'fur' is just little balls of white sugarpaste but you could certainly pipe them with royal icing instead.

He was so simple to make, I may try and do a tutorial on him soon. :)
